HXT would like thank everybody involved with HXT 16 Quarter-Century with competitors and fans travelling from all over the UK and Europe. Special acknowledgement goes out to: our web designer, our sponsor, Oneway, the support teams, the amazing crowd, our phenomenal athletes and of course our home venue.
Last year the competition celebrated its twenty fifth year and HXT Quarter Century lived up to the occasion, delivering a spectacle of racing with a single second splitting first and second place in the final Male Advanced race.
A special mention goes out to our new club owner, David Lloyd. The team headed by General Manager Mike Whitehouse at our West End, Southampton club were phenomenal and can’t thank you enough. It’s clear to see why David Lloyd is leading the way in the general health club market.
We also wish to thank our sponsor Oneway. Since sponsoring the competition, both Oneway and HXT have gone from strength to strength!
So we move into year 26 and with that a departure from the course we introduced 5 years ago. Hampshire has always delivered a fast, but demanding course. This year we have introduced a fresh and intelligent arrangement that has a gruelling upper body effort into a sprint shuttle finish. To complete the course quickly, competitors will need to train specifically to ensure the body is conditioned for transitions that compound perfectly!
The competition was able to donate a significant of money raised to a cause personal to many in the David Lloyd group and wish Dani Watts all the best with her recovery.
Every year we try to get better through incremental tweaks and enhancements. This year will be no different as we work hard to create the best experience in UK fitness racing.
Last we attracted competitors from New York to Iceland and wish all attending this year a great and healthy training phase and safe journey.
Please register early to engage your internal training commitment, get focused and ensure no disappointment in securing your place.
“I regretted all the hard training, exponentially improving my fitness levels and the thrill and excitement of competing in the Hampshire XT Competition” – No One Ever.
